A name, place, or other term entered into a search box is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Berkeley County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may process the request under its own privacy policy, terms, and technical practices. Review those documents before submitting a query, especially when a search may contain personal details.
Messages Sent to the Site
An email or contact-form message is retained as needed to read the request, respond, keep a reasonable service record, and address a related follow-up. Message content is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required. Do not send confidential case papers, protected identity documents, or information intended for ERJCF, WVDCR, the Berkeley County Sheriff, a court, or a supervision office. This private site cannot deliver a filing to those agencies.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Standard web systems may create technical records when a page loads. These records help measure use, maintain performance, diagnose faults, and reduce abuse. The automatically collected details may include:

Once a visitor follows an outside link, the destination’s privacy policy and terms govern. Berkeley County Released Inmates does not control how those services collect data, maintain records, set access rules, or respond to requests under West Virginia FOIA §29B-1-3.
Advertising partners may use their own cookies or similar technology to measure activity and provide interest-based ads across websites. That processing occurs on their systems, not on systems controlled by Berkeley County Released Inmates. Parties That May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold. Limited information may reach service providers or authorities when needed for the functions described in this notice:
- Search partners that receive and handle submitted queries
- Analytics providers that measure site use and performance

- Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies acting under a valid subpoena, court order, or other binding legal demand
Each outside recipient may have its own retention, security, and disclosure rules. The site does not promise that a third party will apply the same practices described here.

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen.
